Eat What You Want Day!

Today is May 11th, which is also Eat What You Want Day! This sounds like a fun day, though it’s a little scary to me since my body doesn’t react nicely when I eat things that are bad for me. Well, actually no one’s body responds well to eating unhealthy food, but most people don’t feel the bad effects right away. Anyway, today since is Eat What You Want Day, it isn’t a day to everything we can, but a day to enjoy eating our favorite foods and snacks.

Eat What You Want Day is most definitely not a day for diets. It makes me think of Christmas or Thanksgiving because it’s is one of those rare days in the year that has been set aside for us to take a break from our diets and eat something we really enjoy. So let’s set aside our diets and splurge by eating something we wouldn’t normally eat. If you have diabetes or are watching how many carbs or calories in your food, just stay within your limits by eating only a little bit of that favorite treat. Do not risk your health to participate in this day. If you do enjoy splurging today, share what your favorite treat is. We want to know!

Remember to drink plenty of water whether you splurge or not.
