Homeschooling a Kindergartner

Home schooling is a bit difficult. My problems are that I have a kindergartner who chooses not to listen to her mom when doing her work, or just in general, and her sister is 3. When I am trying to do work with the kindergartner, her sister wants to help and won’t leave us alone.

My three-year-old sometimes has her own work to do and I try to have them to do their work together. This helps because she seems to feel involved and maybe the kindergartner will be more likely do her work. She doesn’t really like to follow what she’s supposed to do, like tracing. She feels the need to color it in.

My kindergartner’s distance learning assignments last for a week. We have been doing it for two weeks and her teacher posts it on the online virtual classroom, Dojo. She gets a shout out that she is one of the top workers for the week. I think that makes her want to do her work!
