What Is Matzoh?

Matzoh is breed that is made with no yeast. Matzoh is eaten instead of bread during the Jewish Passover, and Passover starts at sundown tonight. Passover is celebrated by the Jewish people as they remember how God brought the Israelites out of Egypt 3,000 years ago. The Israelites were slaves in Egypt, and God used Moses and his older brother Aaron to bring His people into their freedom. After 10 plagues, the Pharaoh let the Israelites leave. So at midnight, they packed everything, including the bread doe they were making. They left so quickly that the bread did not have time to rise, and this is why they eat matzoh during Passover.
