ABOUT US
Employment is an important part of being a contributing member of your community. When you have a job, you feel good about yourself, you are more independent, and you spend time in your community. A job is also a good way to meet new people and learn about the culture of the area you live in. The Way 2 Work program teaches the skills it takes to keep a job once you find one.
THE TEAM
The Way 2 Work team are peer instructors. That means that they are individuals with disabilities who teach their peers these important job skills. The presenters have done extensive research and are very knowledgeable about the topic.
THE PRESENTATION
The presentation is offered both in person and on Zoom. It is a six-week program that meets once a week for about one hour. The series covers topics such as teamwork, professionalism, and communication skills. All of our classes are taught in a fun an interactive way. We use quizzes, games, and power point presentations to learn and have fun.
