This caught my eye, so I thought I would write on it for today. Today is Son and Daughter Day or Daughter and Son Day! It is always on August 11th. I did not find an origin for it, but it is celebrated all over the world. It is a day to celebrate and enjoy our children! Celebrating them means that we need to speak to them and love on them in their love language every day, and especially today.
So what is a love language? Our love language is how we feel most loved. The Love Languages are:
1. Having someone do things for us
2. Having someone give us presents
3. Having someone speak words of encouragement to us
4. Having someone spend meaningful time with us
5. Having someone touch us affectionately
How do our children feel most loved and enjoy being celebrated? If we do not have children, how do the people and children we are close to feel most loved and enjoy being celebrated?
