This is going to be a continuation from the post last month about the Mayflower and Speedwell. Speedwell and the Mayflower had set out from Southampton, England on August 5, 1620 to sail to the New World, but Speedwell had sprung a leak. They patched up the hole and tried again, but it proved to be useless. Speedwell was not fit to sail across the ocean, but on September 16, 1620, the Mayflower set out with its 105 passengers to find this New World. When they first saw land, it took them a few days to find a place where they could reach the shore. On November 11, 1620, they finally found a beach, and they landed at Cape Cod!
