National Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Month!

This is National Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Month! I have written on it before, and I am going to write on it again because fresh fruits and veggies are vital for good health. Did you know that fresh fruits and veggies are not just generally good for us? Individual fresh fruits and fresh veggies have good nutrients in them that fight against sicknesses, cancers and other diseases. For example, carrots help inflammation in the joints. I put one medium to large carrot in the veggie smoothies that I make for my mom and myself, and as long as we get our veggies 4 or 5 days a week, my mom’s arthritic joints do not hurt her. If the weather changes or she does a lot of work that makes her joints hurt, I put 2 carrots in our smoothies for a few days. Cooked broccoli and cooked tomatoes give our bodies powerful nutrients that fight against specific cancers and health issues.

Carrots:

  • Stewed Tomatoes:
