International Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day

February 23rd is always International Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day, a day for the dogs. This is truly a day for our dogs because who else can can really appreciate the true value of a dog biscuit? Dog biscuits are a tasty reward for good behavior, and they also can be used to get our pooches to do a trick or two. As they say, “Every dog has his day.” But today is not just any of those good old dog days. Today will definitely be his day when he gets some of those tasty dog biscuits!

Today, February 23rd is also Play Tennis Day, a great day to play a game of tennis. Tennis is a fun sport for millions of Americans, and it is also a great way to exercise! Why is today Play Tennis Day? Maybe it is because February 23, 1874 was the day that Walter Wingfield of Pimlico introduced England to the game of lawn tennis. People are not the only ones who enjoy tennis. Dogs also love tennis balls. So celebrate today by giving your dog a few dog biscuits, play a game or two of tennis, then spend some time throwing a tennis ball for your pooch to chase!
