National Hoagie Day!

National Hoagie Day

Today is National Hoagie Day! National Hoagie Day is always on May 5th. How strange is that? And what is a hoagie anyway? Well, a hoagie is a big sandwich, also known as a sub or a hero. They are popular because of what they have in them, options of which meats or no meat, which cheeses or no cheese, veggies and/or other extras. People enjoy them for lunch, dinner, as a snack or a quick meal on the go. So celebrate National Hoagie Day by eating your favorite hoagie for at least one meal or a snack. You can also visit a Hogi Yogi, like the one I went to while I was in high school in Redlands, California. They served sub sandwiches and frozen yogurt. I like chicken, cheddar and Swiss cheese, with bell peppers, olives, mustard, and a vinaigrette on whole wheat bread. What is your favorite hoagie?
