Great Poetry Reading Day!

I thought this sounded pretty fun because I enjoy poetry. Every April 28th is Great Poetry Reading Day in honor of great poems. Many people write poems, some poetry is good, and some is not so good. Today is for reading the world’s greatest poetry and your favorite poetry. My favorite poet is Robert Frost because his poems are gentle, sweet, positive, and usually about nature, like this one:

Blueberries by Robert Frost
“You ought to have seen what I saw on my way
To the village, through Mortenson’s pasture to-day:
Blueberries as big as the end of your thumb,
Real sky-blue, and heavy, and ready to drum
In the cavernous pail of the first one to come!
And all ripe together, not some of them green
And some of them ripe! You ought to have seen!”

You can celebrate today by reading poems, having a poetry reading hour or party, listening to poetry, or writing your own poetry!
Tip: Guys, you will score a lot of points, if you read romantic poetry to your lady today. Today is also Kiss Your Mate Day.
