Clean Out Your Computer Day!

So it is not spring time yet, but maybe spring in the world of computers starts in February because today is spring cleaning for computers day! This 2nd Monday in February is the day that some (computer geek) person picked as a day that people should clean out their computers. It is a day to sit in front of your computer and look over all of your files and programs and delete the ones you no longer use. If you find that you have not used a file or a program in over a year, you might ask yourself if you really need it. If you are sure that you are going to use it again, then keep it, of course. If things have changed, however, and you no longer need a specific program or file, then delete it!

Cleaning out your computer frees up the computer’s memory so that it can run faster. Most of us add programs and files to our computers without seeing how full they are getting. Even though computers are made with huge storing abilities, most people do not realize how full their computers actually are. Too many programs and files, especially large ones, are what clogs up the memory and makes computers run slower. So celebrate Clean Out Your Computer Day by deleting old files and programs that you do not use any more and free up some of your computer’s memory. You may find that you have a computer that works like new again!
