Why Is Washing Hands Important?

So what”s the big deal? The big deal is that germs mmake us sick. So the first line of defense against germs is washing our hands. Germs can get on us in many ways, like:

  • touching dirty hands
  • through contaminated water and food
  • through droplets released during a cough or a sneeze
  • through dirty surfaces
  • through contact with a sick person”s body fluids
  • changing dirty diapers
  • Once we have contact with germs, we can become infected without knowing it, online casinos and soon our whole household comes down with the same sickness. This is why washing our hands well is the first line of defense against spreading many sicknesses like colds and flus. Good hand washing can also protect against more serious illnesses such as meningitis, bronchiolitis, influenza, hepatitis A, and most types of infectious diarrhea.
