National Honey Month

September is National Honey Month because it marks the end of the honey collection season for a lot of beekeepers in the United States. National Honey Month is celebrated to let people know about beekeeping, the beekeeping industry and honey as a natural and healthy sweetener. Raw honey keeps more of its natural healing properties than processed honey and honey syrups do, and darker honey has more antioxidants.
