Make a Difference Day
Make a Difference Day was started in 1990 and is always the 4th Saturday in October. This year it is this Saturday, October 27th. It is a lot like Good Neighbor Day because it is all about doing good to others. Here are s
ome things people have done on Make a Difference Day:
• One actress held a bake sale with her daughters to raise money for Haitian earthquake victims.
• People with developmental disabilities made sandwiches for the hungry.
• The Secretary of Education joined a group who painted a mural at an urban public school.
• College students had a party for people with developmental disabilities.
These are just a few things people have done for Make a Difference Day. I like to support others and encourage them, so I”m going to go support a flag football team. It”s one of their last games of the season. What can you do for Make a Difference Day?
