Constitution Day and Citizenship Day!

What is Constitution Day and Citizenship Day? Well, the Declaration of Independence from England was signed in 1776, when our country of freedom began. Eleven years later, on September 17th, 1787, the Constitution of the United States was signed. That is why September 17th is Constitution Day and Citizenship Day. On September 17th, we celebrate our freedom to be citizens of this country. This year, the Vote Project will be hosting a Vote Fair at the Builders’ Exchange, located at 2985 Innsbruck Drive in Redding. It will be open to the general public and will run from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. The purpose of this fair is to help people with disabilities to be well informed, registered and ready to vote in the November elections. Several presentations will be given, including Theater in the Now from Chico, and lunch will be provided at noon. Come and check us out and celebrate your citizenship of this country!
